Monday, June 24 to Friday, June 28 from 9am to 3pm
Students will learn engineering techniques using motors, gears, and wireless controls to build their own Lego robots and compete in a Battlebots-style competition against their peers. Students will be taught design techniques and learn how to iterate on their robots to help them compete in the competition.
In the afternoon, Students will learn to code in Python to create their own virtual chatbot, just like ChatGPT! They will explore how coding is useful in the real world, hear from guest speakers in the field, and interact with each other to give feedback on their chatbots. Students will learn basic knowledge of coding that can be used on computers and robotics.
Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12 from 9am to 3pm
Students will explore the exciting world of music production and coding! This camp offers the chance to explore the fusion of technology and music through EarSketch, an online DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), and working in a real Music Production Studio! Whether you're an aspiring musician, budding coder, or simply curious about sound and programming, this camp will inspire students to express their creativity through code and music.
In the afternoon, students will learn how to assemble, repair, and upgrade a refurbished gaming computer that they will be able to take home at the end of the week.
Monday, July 15 to Friday, July 19 from 9am to 3pm
Students will learn and participate in hands-on activities about health science topics (for example: about the body, how it works, and how to be healthy). Throughout the week they will meet and work with health professionals and health professional students to see what a typical day is like for them. Students will explore different types of health-related jobs and careers and what it takes to be a health professional from middle school and beyond.
Monday July 22 to Friday July 26 from 9am to 3pm
Students will embark on an exciting journey into programming through Smart Rovers (mobile robots) and Snap Circuits, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and tech understanding. Through hands-on projects, students will learn fundamentals of coding in the Python language, robot control, sensors and input, and much more. This camp is led in partnership with the TGR Foundation - join us for an unforgettable week of learning, innovation, and adventure!
